Amiens Macarons




Le Macaron d'Amiens is a delightful speciality from the french region of Picardy whose fame dates back to the sixteenth century. Its recipe was brought from Italy by the Queen Catherine de Medici, and the Valencia almonds imported by the Spanish invasion.

In 1992, at the International Sweets and Biscuits Fair in Paris the renowned Macaron won the Grand Prix de France of the best speciality, its popularity has not faded since.
 

The recipe of the Macaron has stayed unchanged since 1872 maintaining the reputation of our maison: Valencia almonds, honey, egg whites, sugar, sweet almond oil and bitter almonds (no preservatives or dyes).
